Website Redesign: Iztac Multiversidad

Dec

2008

Iztac Multiversidad was looking into redesigning their website. They wanted their new website to provide information about their work and support the promotion of their activities and events more fully.

The layout was deeply inspired on the landscape of the place where Iztac Multiversidad is located (at the feet of the Iztaccihuatl Volcano, in Mexico), therefore giving it a fresh, fun, natural and playful tone, yet still keeping a professional approach.

There are several forms of navigation, including a multi-level menu and and comprehensive secondary footer navigation, as well as an "always present" search bar.

It has a portal-type homepage with a dynamically updated view of the inside of the website, as well as a functional multi-type event-driven calendar with many dynamic displays of the same information in many different areas of the website, a fully functional and elegant display for images, an up-to-date blog, several custom forms and Paypal implementation to accept donations and/or payments online.
